Why is tree cutting so expensive?

You shouldn't pay for equipment and crew sizes you don't need. Here's why prices vary so widely.

Tree cutting can be expensive if the company doing the service has to maintain expensive equipment and large crews. Sure, these tools are needed on many jobs — but not every job. Why should you pay the higher rates for unnecessary equipment or services?

What you’re really paying for

Big tree services price every job at the same high rate because they have to keep the cranes, chippers, bucket trucks, and full-time crew busy. That math gets passed to the customer.

For a smaller, simpler trim — branches over a roofline, brush clearing, lifting a canopy — you don’t need the big rig. You need the right crew with the right equipment for your job.

Right-sized service

We’re not a certified arborist outfit and we don’t pretend to be. For small-to-mid tree work during clearing or grading projects, we’re a fair-priced option. For specialty work that needs a crane or arborist credentials, we’ll tell you and refer you to a great company.
